Part of the East Hill Historic District, the main house was built as a private home in 1880 by Cornell University's first student of architecture, William Henry Miller. It is rich in architectural detail with stained glass windows, American chestnut woodwork, working fireplaces, seven spacious bedrooms, and large common areas. The carriage house, built in 1892, is located directly behind the main house and provides additional accommodations in a setting that is both private and luxurious. Located just off the Ithaca Commons-which is abundant with shops, theatres, and restaurants-the inn is on the city bus line and within two miles of Cornell University and Ithaca College. Tompkins County airport is a ten-minute drive. Cuisine at the Inn | Rooms and Reservations | A House with History Meetings and Receptions | Business Travel |
